*- The Egyptian Psychologists’ Association RNNM Regional conference of the EPA Cairo, November 2010  Invitation to participate in the conference is extended to Arab, European, and American researchers in the field of psychology, who are interested in the advancement of psychology and the stimulation of its social and cultural role. Areas discussed:  The Regional Conference of the EPA has been organized to include various areas of discussion to provide the opportunity to present and discuss the scientific outcome in the domain of psychology, in a way that reflects the significance of research and specialty in the region.  The Following areas will be addressed in the conference: - Childhood. - Woman and Family. - Addiction. - Violence and Criminal Behavior. - Psychiatric and pharmacological Intervention. - Psychological community - Issues - Psychology and Work. - Intelligence, Giftedness, and Creativity. - Psychology of Stressors and Conflicts. - Cross-cultural research or Research interest across cultures. - Methodological Issues. - Community_ Issues. Invitation is open to researchers in each of the previous domains. Activities:  The conference will include several activities: 1- Sessions for presenting and discussing researches that are previously accepted by the judge committee of the conference. 2- Training workshops related to the subjects and skills addressed in the conference. Additional fees will be required for the workshops. 3- Round tables and seminars discussing general issues. 4- General lectures presented by Egyptian and foreign specialists. Fees for participation:  There are 2 categories for participation in the conference: 1- Participation with a research paper for submission to the conference in one of the sessions. US $350 for non-Egyptian participants 350 E. L. for Egyptian participants 2- Participation without research paper: US $ 200 for non-Egyptian participants L. E. 250 Egyptian L.E. for Egyptian participants ( 20 % discount For Ranm members )  Participation fee covers the following: 1- Participation in all conference’s scientific and cultural events. 2- Participation in social and entertainment activities. 3- Access to printing materials presented in the sessions. 4- Receiving the conference proceedings volume. 5- Receiving 10 copies of the research paper submitted by participants.  Registration fees for the conference and all activities have to be paid prior to juin 15, 2010; 15% will be added to the fees if registration is made after that date and until October,15,2010. Payment is either via cheque under the name of “The Egyptian Psychologists Association”, or by transfer to acc #50334 PO in Abbasaya, or National bank of Egypt Ramsis branch acc #11/11186 or cash by receipt in EPA office. Invitation for submitting papers:  Researchers from different psychological domains are welcomed to submit their own research papers to be presented during the conference, complying to the following: 1- Summary of research should be submitted before the end of October, 2009. 2- After accepting the submitted abstract, two hard copies (font 14, Simplified Arabic, A4, 5000 words, 20 pages X 250 words), as well as a soft copy on a CD of the research should be submitted before the end of March,2010. 3- For English papers, the same criteria should be followed. 4- Editing measures should follow the same rules of “Derasat Nafsayah” (the APA editing rules) request for editing rules should be made to (ranmregconf@gmail.com). 5- If the length of the research happened to be more than the assigned pages (20 pages), the participant is required to pay additional fees ($10, or L.E.12) for each additional page. Additional pages should not exceed 10 pages. 6- The 20 pages should include 2 abstracts, one in Arabic and the other in English, reference page, and appendices. 7- Submitted research papers will be discussed after judging it and the researcher will be informed of the acceptance before the end of May,2010 the. The accepted research papers will be scheduled for discussion in the conference sessions, the first, or one of the co-authors, will be responsible for one of presenting and discussing it. 8- Final copy of the research paper should be received by the end of july, 2010 9- Fees for submitting the research paper will be required from the main researcher. Other authors participating in the research, who would like to attend the conference, will be required to pay fees without submitting a research. 10- The research should be linguistically revised by a specialist before submitting it. Invitation for submitting workshops:  Invitation is open to professors who are willing to present a workshop during the conference in different domains, according to the following criteria: 1- Workshop topic must be submitted before the end of January, 2010. 2- After accepting the topic, printed materials, PowerPoint presentation, transparencies, or slides must be submitted before the end of March, 2010. 3- Workshops will be presented for a total time of 10 hours throughout the period of the conference, which will be scheduled previously. 4- Workshops that will be presented will be announced prior to the conference. Participation in workshops:  Participation in workshops is available to participants of the conference according to the following: 1- The list of workshops presented will be announced before May 15, 2010. Any information will be available through the email address of the conference. 2- Participation in more then one workshop, presented in different times, is possible. 3- Fees must be submitted before the end of September 2010. 4- 20% of the registration fees will be added, after that date until 48 hours before the conference. 5- Participants will receive all materials for the workshop. 6- Participants will receive a certificate that certifies their attendance to the workshop. 7- Each workshop will be presented within 10 hours during the conference till the second last day. General lectures and sessions:  General Sessions will be conducted for discussions of different conference topics, related working practices and social variables. Several speakers will participate in each session.  General lectures will be presented daily in different topics, which will be included in the final program of the conference. Lectures will be presented by prominent Egyptian and foreign participants in the field. Social and entertainment activities:  Conference activities include social and entertainment activities for participants, such as: 1- One Coffee brake during each session. 2- Lunch for participants in the first day of the conference. 3- Site seeing visits in Cairo, which includes the Pyramids, the Citadel and Mosque of Mohamed Aly, and the Egyptian Museum. 4- Musical concert in the Opera house or a theatre, (special rates to participants). 5- Nile cruise dinner in a tourist boat with a musical and entertaining program in the last day of the conference (special rate for participants). 6- Discounts at the psychology book exhibition presented in the conference, in which a number of Egyptian and Arab publishers are participating. Advantages for participants from other countries:  The conference will arrange the following additional advantages for participants from other countries: 1- Discounts for plane tickets to Egypt on the national airline. 2- Lowered prices in accommodation in one of the following hotel categories: - Five stars hotel (choice between 2 hotels) - Four stars hotel (choice between 3 hotels) - Three stars hotel (choice between 2 hotels) 3- Low prices for renting a car with driver. 4- Accompanying persons for people accompanied by participants (family members or children) during the conference.  Reservations for accommodation must be before the end of June, due to conducting the conference in the high season of tourism.
